Providing strategic advice, programme and project management to the education and local government sectors is what we at Keystone do. Whether you need help with a single element – such as a feasibility study or funding application – or to manage the implementation of a project through to handover and beyond, we offer a highly specialised range of services.

While much of our work has been in the Further Education sector, our skills, experience and capabilities are well suited to advice and implementation on all capital projects in the public sector. We work by providing high added value services to our clients, offering independent advice and guidance. Our small team of highly skilled and experienced consultants will always strive first and foremost to understand our clients’ needs, and once on board, we commit ourselves wholeheartedly to your success, working in partnership with you throughout our involvement.

Understanding your needs

Over the past 15 years, our projects have included individual new build and refurbishment projects, campus redevelopments and relocations and whole estate renewal programmes. The roles we have carried out for our clients include lead adviser, programme manager, project manager, employer’s agent and procurement adviser. We help our clients:

  • Prepare property strategies
  • Carry out feasibility studies for capital projects
  • Prepare expressions of interest and subsequent detailed applications for funding support
  • Manage procurement processes
  • Ensure effective project delivery once funding has been secured, from procurement through to project management and eventual handover.

Setting high standards. Independently

We are one of the few firms in the sector able to provide totally independent advice, as we have no commercial interest in providing any other follow-on services, e.g. property agency, design or cost consultancy services. We offer a personal service to our clients and feel a real sense of ownership of the outcome of the projects.

Our directors have decades of combined experience in all aspects of their work, from preparation of funding applications and property strategies to management of detailed design, running consultant and contractor procurements, project and programme management. They have all worked in a leading capacity on several prestigious capital schemes.
